Well, those cookies didn’t last long. I just polished off the rest for dinner. YUM.

The quality and adorable little details are what I love most about Anthropologie. Just like the hem of the lining of this dress. Really, too cute.

Saturday called for pancakes. Sunday required peanut butter cookies. And Tom Petty.

Baking

Another low-key Saturday at home for me. I’m spending the day baking, studying and training Barry out of his separation anxiety. Wait, did I say “low-key”? Wishful thinking, I guess.

Washington Monument

The continuous stream of thunderstorms we’ve had this week have thankfully cooled down temps in the District. I was even able to wear jeans out last night! Thank God for small mercies.

PNC Place

We walked past this building on our way to drinks after football on Monday. I really enjoyed the building’s floor-to-ceiling glass exterior, but fell in love with the interior when I realized that the hanging glass plates are actually manmade waterfalls. So elegant and subtle.

Moscow Mule

Okay, maybe not shaken. But I’m definitely upset. My prof. assigned a book (yeah, you read that right. As in an ENTIRE book) as our reading for next Tuesday’s class. Considering I have yet to finish the reading for this week, I doubt I’ll be starting the book until this weekend. It’s okay, Prof. It’s not like any of us full-time jobs or anything!

Sunset on the Mall

There really is nothing like playing sports or running along the Mall as the sun sets. The experience is kind of magical. There you are: just you and your friends, having fun, playing some music and drinking beer…all while surrounded by the White House, Washington Monument, the Capitol and Lincoln Memorial. Very surreal.

It’s nights like these that make me fall in love with DC all over again.

Spectacular Fail

Sometimes bottoming out can be artistic. But really, most of the time it’s just down right hilarious.

iPhone: Sunset at Jiffy Lube Pavillion

The Kings of Leon show Saturday night was completely laid back, pretty much the exact opposite of luxurious… or satisfying. Seeing them play the night after Spoon and Arcade Fire wasn’t fair though; those were impossible acts to follow.
