Christ the Light Cathedral

I really wanted to photograph the amazing modern light fixtures in the San Francisco Federal Building, but it’s only open to tourists the public M-F, 9am-3pm. Grr… Since that clearly was not an option, I instead focused on the lantern’s lattice exterior, which led me to Christ the Light Cathedral in Oakland, CA.

The interior of the cathedral is pretty impressive as well. But because of last night’s plans, I actually had to photograph the cathedral ridiculously early this morning before my 8 a.m. meeting. I arrived during the morning mass, so needless to say, I wasn’t going to walk in and interrupt. Will definitely have to make another visit sometime in the future.
