There was some serious equipment next to the double bassist of The Bad Plus. Speaking of heavy metal, we’re giving this to the German Chancellor when she visits the lab tomorrow. It’s a control panel from the Bevatron (birthplace of the antiproton – woohoo!) mounted on a plaque to commemorate her visit. While I’m looking forward to meeting Chancellor Merkel, I’m honestly so exhausted from nonstop planning and coordination for the past two weeks that I just want tomorrow to be over with!
