Lighting with character

Ah, waterfronts and sunsets. Two things the West Coast does very well.  It was another gorgeous day in the Bay and I should have taken advantage of it by going to the Marina to watch the sunset, but instead I ate my feelings (hey, it was a really stressful day. Don’t judge) and stayed indoors.

I finally had dinner at A16. Kind of shocking, considering I’ve wanted to eat there since my sister pointed it out on my house hunting trip last Summer. Well, nine months later and I finally made it! And I have to say, it was worth the wait. Even though I literally had to pep talk myself into eating the squid ink pasta I ordered (take one look at this photo and just try to tell me that it doesn’t look…squirmy), I polished off the entire dish.

Melissa and I cleaned our palates with a post-dinner stop at Tuttimelon. Even though I’ve been there enough times to claim a free frozen yogurt this evening, tonight was the first time I noticed their fascinating lighting. Exactly the relaxing evening I needed to recover from today!

  1. So jealous of how you ended your day! Sounds like perfection, and I’m very proud of you for being an adventurous foodie 🙂
