Assateague Island

Wild horse

I spent yesterday at the beach with some of my friends. We packed Barry in the Mini and drove out to Assateague Island, just a couple hours outside of DC, to soak up the sun. Assateague’s known for its wild horses, which roam freely around the barrier island. We were warned that the horses could bite or kick, but they seemed docile enough. I’m guessing they must be used to sharing their beaches by now; they even let us get up close and personal to snap some unforgettable photographs.

  1. You should quit your job and go photograph for Travel & Leisure 🙂

    • Oh wow, that really is one of the nicest things anyone has ever said to me. I have always wanted to become a travel photographer…only in my dreams though! 😉
