At the beginning
Anna has had an amazing 14 years with her dog Chewie, who’s mortality she’s all too aware of the moment. Their love made me think about how other great love affairs begin. You can never know at the beginning what someone will mean to you at the end and rarely do you know exactly when the end will come.
I was fortunate enough to get to watch a jazz mass at St. Peter’s in New York City yesterday for work. I took this photo of the singer as she held her daughter during their rehearsals before the service. She and her gorgeous baby girl are clearly at the beginning of a great love affair that I hope endures for many, many decades.

This is an amazing shot, Kimberly!! I love it. And coming from a not-so-baby person, that’s saying something. You should try to get in contact with her and send her this photo. I bet she would love to have it.
